A Message from the Sheriff

As we enter a new era in Cameron Parish History, we realize how bright our future is shaping up to be.

With the LNG industry currently building export facilities and more on the horizon, we have the potential to become the LNG export capital of the world.

This will bring about a good stable economy and consequently a remarkable tax base for our public bodies to build and improve our infrastructure as well as improve their operating budgets.

With positive changes come challenges in many of our communities. The Sheriff's Office, School Board, Water, Sewer, Drainage, Libraries, Police Jury, Fire Department, and Ambulance Districts all must rise to meet the needs of thousands of people coming into Cameron Parish to
work.

During my first term, I was extremely proud of how the citizens of Cameron Parish helped the Sheriff's Office do our job. The citizens helped us by keeping us informed, and by telling us what they have seen and heard.

We cannot do our job without you being involved. So, thank you for being a part of the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office.

Now, we face even greater challenges. Our Parish is changing, and I look forward to working with you in the future to make Cameron Parish an even better place to live, work, and raise our families.
Please continue to call me with your needs and concerns.

Sincerely,
Sheriff Ron Johnson
