LETTER FROM THE SHERIFF 8-29-16
As we enter a new era in Cameron Parish History, we are realizing how bright our future is shaping up to be.
With the LNG industry currently building export facilities and more on the horizon, we have the potential of becoming the LNG export capital of the world.
Now, this will bring about a good stable economy and consequently a remarkable tax base for our public bodies to build infrastructure and operate on.
With those positive changes come challenges in many of our communities. The Sheriff’s Department, School Board, Water, Sewer, Drainage, Libraries, Police Jury, Fire Department and Ambulance Districts, all have to rise to meet the needs of thousands of people coming into work in Cameron Parish.
During my first term, I was so proud of how the citizen of Cameron Parish helped the Sheriff’s Department do our job by keeping us informed of what you have seen and heard.
We cannot do our job without you being involved. So thank you for being a part of Cameron Sheriff’s Department.
Now, we face even greater challenges. Our Parish is changing and I look forward to working with you in the future to make Cameron Parish an even better place to live, work and raise our families.
Please continue to call me with your needs and concerns.
Sheriff Ron Johnson
